Welcome to the SIMS Tutor and Teaching Assistant (TA) Page. Please visit here throughout the semester for updates on sessional policies, application procedures, contact details and other important information.
The use of the sessional staff room, T1.03, will be successful due to rotation of staff. This resource must be shared between all sessional staff and hence it is a "hotdesk" arrangement, ie. the PC's are available for use immediately before and after your tutorials. The same scenario applies for consultation.
Application Process
Applications for TA and Tutoring positions are made via the
Tutor Allocation System (TAS). A link to TAS is made available during
the application period 13/5/05 to 22/5/05 from the SIMS home
page. Applicants are required to complete and submit an online application
form before the closing date.
Privacy Statement
The information on this form is collected for the primary purpose
of providing your contact details for the School of Information
Management & Systems. If you choose not to complete all the
questions on this form, it may not be possible for the School of
Information Management & Systems to contact you. You have a
right to access personal information that Monash University holds
about you, subject to any exceptions in relevant legislation. If
you wish to seek access to your personal information or inquire
about the handling of your personal information, please contact
the University Privacy Officer on: 99056011.
Timesheets
Please see the Financial Officer in S7.15, in person, if you haven't collected your personalised timesheet.
Each tutorial you perform should be signed off on the timesheet by your Unit Leader and then returned to the sessional timesheet pigeon hole, level 4, S block.
Unit Information
Once appointed, you will need to contact your Unit Leader in order to gain the necessary unit information. A useful starting point, however, is the unit page. You will find the SIMS Unit Index .
