Cold Comfort Farms is a family-owned small rural business which operates a vineyard at Fosterville in Central Victoria.

The Fosterville property of 30 acres has a 5 acre vineyard of Tarrango and  Shiraz vines. A further 5 acre plot is now under development. The Fosterville block is situated adjacent to the Wellsford Forest on the plains north-east of Bendigo. The soil is weathered sandstone. The property is drip irrigated from two dams (on the rare occasions that they contain water). Extensive fencing has recently been installed on the boundary to prevent destruction of the vines by mobs of drought affected kangaroos.
