Note 1 :	It is not possible to show all the nuances of legal drafting on a table. If an Act is shown on a table as dealing with a matter, this should not be taken to mean that all Acts deal with it in the same way or that there may not be exceptions to the way in which it is dealt with. For example, many of the compulsory transfer provisions (Table Three) are qualified by exceptions which permit some records to be retained for longer periods or indefinitely. The tables refer to matters actually provided for in archives laws; they do not reflect or summarise administrative arrangements made under or independently of the statutes.
Note 2 :	Where the provisions of an Act apply fully (even though some minor exceptions may apply), the symbol • is used.
