BCKONLINE RESEARCHER WINS NBCF SCHOLARSHIP
September 2003

BCKOnline Researcher Ms Rosetta Manaszewicz has been successful in winning one of three Postgraduate Research Scholarship from the National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF). Valued at $30,000 per year for 3 years, the scholarship will enable Rosetta to pursue a PhD, extending work she has already done as a Research Fellow with the BCKOnline project.

Rosetta plans to investigate how personal value systems and preferences for information delivery impact on user satisfaction and the subsequent evaluation of 'quality'. She will use the prototype portal developed by the BCKOnline to explore how information which is 'tailored' by a user to meet her/his individual requirements impacts on the decisionmaking processes of women with breast cancer and their families.

The Scholarship was awarded to Rosetta in September at the NBCF's Research Update Meeting in Sydney.
